Counterfeit Lotus devices circulate in every market Kaloud sells into. They photograph well, they price low, and they fail at exactly the moment your customer is paying attention.
Geometry is the product
A heat management device is not a lid. Vent placement, wall thickness and the way the metal sheds heat are the whole mechanism. A copy reproduces the silhouette because that is what a photograph shows, and gets the rest close enough to sell once.
The result is a device that runs hot at the start and dies early, or one that never reaches the bowl at all. Either way the session is worse than no device, and the customer concludes the whole category was oversold.
Four things worth looking at
None of these is definitive on its own. Together they are usually enough to know what you are holding.
The badge
The Kaloud badge is engraved cleanly and sits true. Fakes tend to print it, blur it, or place it slightly off center.
The finish
An even, deliberate surface with no tooling chatter inside the vents and no soft edges where a cut should be sharp.
The mass
Genuine devices feel dense for their size. A copy usually gives itself away the second it is in your hand.
The source
The only check that is actually conclusive. Bought from the brand or a named distributor, or bought from someone who cannot say.

How can I tell a counterfeit Lotus from a real one?
Weight, finish and the badge are the quickest checks. A genuine device has an even machined surface, a crisp Kaloud badge and a mass that feels wrong when you pick up a copy afterwards. The reliable test is not visual at all: hold a bowl at temperature for an hour and a counterfeit will not do it.
Why do counterfeits matter to a shop rather than just the brand?
Because the customer does not know who to blame. A session that turns harsh in twenty minutes reads as a bad product, and the shop that sold it wears the return, the review and the lost repeat visit.
How do I know my supplier is authorized?
Ask who they buy from. If the answer is not Kaloud or a distributor Kaloud names, the goods carry no guarantee of authenticity and no warranty position. Opening a trade account here removes the question entirely.
